Take A Moment for Your Mental Health
👉 Donate NowIn today's world of constant noise and pressure, moments of calm are rare. Take A Moment began with one simple idea from photographer Ray Burmiston and producer Lara Journo-Leggatt: thousands of people, eyes closed, sharing a pause for mental wellbeing.
What started in 2020 as a virtual exhibition of Ray's portraits — with encouragement from Stephen Fry and many of Britain's best-loved faces — has grown into a movement. Each year, on World Mental Health Day, celebrities and the public unite to share one inclusive message:
Remember to Take A Moment for your mental health.
In 2025, we became a registered charity so we can reach more people, more powerfully than ever before.
